Overview

From data overload to daily ritual

A B2B analytics startup had powerful data and a dashboard nobody opened. Every widget competed for attention, loading took forever, and new users needed a training call to read a chart. I rebuilt the experience around one question per screen — and made the answers instant.

Challenge & Approach

Customizable, but never chaotic

Power users wanted everything configurable; new users wanted a calm starting point. The answer: role-based default views with progressive disclosure, a widget library with sensible presets, and skeleton states that make loading feel twice as fast.

  • Role-based default dashboards for five personas
  • Drag-and-drop widget library with 40+ presets
  • Dark mode and density settings for long sessions

The outcome

Weekly active usage doubled, trial-to-paid conversion climbed, and onboarding calls dropped from mandatory to optional.
