My Story
Design is how a product keeps its promises
I’m Marcus Hale, founder and lead designer at Hollowmint Design. I started in print, fell in love with interaction, and have spent the last decade helping SaaS teams, retailers, and fintech startups turn tangled workflows into experiences users genuinely enjoy.
My process is simple: research first, sketch fast, prototype early, and test with real people before a single line of production code is written.

Led a team of four redesigning e-commerce checkouts for retail clients; lifted average conversion 22% and built the studio’s first reusable pattern library.
